Welcome to the heart of Périgord Noir, where the history of our rivers meets the passion of a family dedicated to the art of paddling. Since 1993, Canoës des Courrèges has been more than just a rental base; it is a gateway to the natural and historical wonders of the Dordogne and Vézère valleys .

Our Roots in Le Bugue
Ideally located between Le Bugue and Limeuil, our base sits at the strategic confluence of two legendary rivers. For over three decades, we have welcomed adventurers, families, and nature lovers to our shaded park. Our mission has always been simple: to share the raw beauty of our region through a safe, professional, and friendly experience .
The Expertise of Élisabeth FAURE
At the helm of this adventure, Élisabeth FAURE (known to many as Babou) brings her deep knowledge of the local waterways to every visitor. With 33 years of presence on the field, Élisabeth ensures that every route—whether on the wild Vézère or the majestic Dordogne—is perfectly suited to your level and expectations. Her expertise is your guarantee of a successful trip, providing tailored advice on navigation, safety, and the hidden gems of the “Valley of Man”.

Our Commitment to Your Comfort and Safety
Starting each season in mid-April, we provide high-quality equipment and professional logistics to ensure total peace of mind.
Logistics: Our shuttle service is included in every trip, ensuring a smooth return to our base at Les Courrèges.
Safety First: Life jackets (buoyancy aids) are mandatory and provided for all sizes. Please note that all participants must be at least 5 years old and able to swim 25 meters .
Facilities: Enjoy our private shaded parking, picnic areas, and playground. We are a pet-friendly base—your dog is welcome to join the adventure! .
Two Rivers, Two Unique Atmospheres
Canoës des Courrèges is unique in offering direct access to the two most beautiful rivers in the region :
The Vézère River (Valley of Mankind): A UNESCO World Heritage site. Paddle through a wild and intimate landscape, passing beneath prehistoric cliffs and ancient villages like Les Eyzies and Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère .
The Dordogne River (Valley of Castles): Experience the grandeur of history as you glide past the fortresses of Beynac and Castelnaud, surrounded by sun-drenched cliffs and pebble beaches..

Minimum Age: 5 Years Old
Participants must be at least 5 years of age.
Swimming Ability
You must be able to swim 25 meters (a legal requirement for all participants).
Life Jackets Mandatory
Life jackets are provided by us and must be worn at all times while on the water.
Closed-Toe Shoes Required
For your safety, please wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking in the water and on pebbles.
Sun Protection
Stay safe under the sun: sunscreen, hats, and hydration are your best friends.
Protect your Electronics
Use a waterproof case or dry bag for your mobile phone and camera.
Respect Nature
Please keep the river clean—do not litter and follow the team’s environmental guidelines.
Responsible Navigation
Be mindful of other river users, fishermen, and swimmers.

- Canoes, Kayaks & Spirits: Available in 1 to 4-seat configurations to suit any group size.
- Safety Gear: High-quality buoyancy aids (life jackets) available in all sizes, from S to XXL.
- Gear & Storage: Choice of single or double paddles and waterproof containers* (4L to 80L) to keep your belongings and cameras dry.
